The Seminole Soil and Water Conservation District is made up of 5 elected officials who volunteer their time to provide the best land and water use management practices that will
conserve, improve, and sustain the natural environment of Seminole
County.
We are an independent state agency which is responsible for carrying out a variety of natural resource stewardship programs here in Seminole County. The Seminole Soil and Water Conservation District serves all of Seminole County in the area of the conservation and stewardship of our natural resources. Board supervisors are elected and run county wide, they serve staggered 4 years terms.
The Board
of County Commissioners is the legislative
branch of county government and individual Commissioners
serve as both legislative officers and fiscal
representatives of the County. Acting in
good faith and within their statutory authority,
the Commissioners have wide discretion.
CHAIRMAN
The Chairman
presides over all meetings, signs all legal
documents, and appoints Commissioners
to various
committees. The
Chairman is the
official representative of the Board and
retains a vote on all items and issues.
