Producing recycled paper requires about 60 percent of the energy used to make paper from virgin wood pulp.
Manufacturing one ton of office and computer paper with recycled paper stock can save between 3,000 and 4,000 kilowatt hours over the same ton of paper made with virgin wood products.

Seminole Soil and Water Minutes

Meeting held at Supervisor of election office, Sanford, Fl.

April 14, 2008

Work shop meeting was called to order at 5:15 pm

Jeff Bauer

Tim Broduer

Deborah Schafer

Public Jeremiah Jaspin

Discussion was had about how to raiser money for the group and bring attention to the group. Jeremiah thought using our e-mail base and requesting small donation amounts in these tough times may yield some response. State hot button issue in your request and state what the group is doing. Tim suggested the board write the script and Deborah suggest we look to SCC for art or marking students to design.

Deborah also stated she thought it would be interesting to ask student to do a video on a subject chosen by the board such as water, have each student submit there video (much like a u tube video) and a panel of judges (high profile) would judge and we could ask Dave McDaniel’s to air the overall winner, but that ST johns could use there ability to air the video in TV. We could also ask SGTV to air the one from each category over a few months time. This could start for middle school to UCF; understand at judging the age group.

We could also request 5 sponsors and put a part of the winning video to paper with 5 sponcers for distribution on the message.

We could also ask other districts of make this state wide campaign and send a copy to the governor.

We talked about another fund raiser

Discussion was Alex and Deborah are up for re-election, pick up packed. Either get signature or pay $25 to be on ballet
